Verster Family

Recently we photographed Lennard & Carla’s maternity session as well as little Charl’s newborn session, so when they contacted us to do some family photo’s of the whole family we were thrilled! This family is not unknown to us as we photographed Lennard & Carla’s wedding about 3 years ago.

The only instruction from them all was that this session needs to be very informal. I think we accomplished this task very well and I think that these images will be loved by all of them.

Thanks so much Cobus, Charlie, Emile, Werner, Jane, Charne, Lennard, Carla and baby Charl. You were such an awesome crowd to photograph!

Around the World

At the end of last year I decided to “Pay it forward”. Myself and hubby Deon decided to arrange a fun day shoot with some fellow togs who were interested in joining us for a day. We phoned the stunning venue “Around the World” (www.aroundtheworldvenue.co.za) which is situated in Potchefstroom. The owner Settie, went out of her way to cater for us. We got treated to a stunning lunch and coffee, tea and juice was available throughout the day. Thanks so much for your effort, we truly appreciate it!

I then phoned one of my preferred designers, Marlise of Immagika (www.immagika.com) and asked if she might have some dresses available for us to use for the day. We got 4 dresses for the day and might I add that these 4 dresses were absolutely gorgeous. Marlise, thanks so much for your stunning dresses, as you see they are a piece of artwork on these images.

We had a blast with the 2 models Carise and our daughter Zani. They were awesome models. I am sure that the 2 of you have some new followers on Face book since this shoot!

Thanks so much to our new friends and awesome photographers who joined us for the day. Colleen & Mathew Sevits from www.colleensevits.co.za; Mariette Vogel from www.mvogel.co.za; Tanya Rudman De Sousa from www.trphoto.co.za and Hannes Uys from www.hannesuys.com

To top it all I send some of these images to a Rock & Roll Bride (www.rocknrollbride.com) in the hope that they might get showcased on this rock & roll blog. We were ecstatic when Kat send us a mail informing us that she would be super pleased to showcase these on her blog. I must just add that she does not run the normal classic wedding blog. She really has some rock and roll stuff on her blog. Go check out http://www.rocknrollbride.com/2010/03/blue-dress-brides/#more-36416  to see our work.

Anyway we will be doing another fun shoot in April as we got so many togs asking to join in a next fun shoot. So keep watching this space!

Baby Charl

And then there were THREE!!  Not something we do every day, but we simply could not pass the opportunity try our hand at a new-born shoot.  Carla & Lennard, whom we featured earlier on our blog, had a bouncing baby boy.

Just simply adorable!!!  Enjoy.
